Evaluation of supervisors’ performance from viewpoint of school principals and teachers

Abstract

The present research, aiming evaluation of Educational Supervisors' performance from principals' and teachers' aspect, was performed in Tehran schools based on Wiles and Bandy model. The research method was fielding surveying. Statistical society of this research consisted of principals and teachers of 19 districts of Tehran including 28536 people. Statistical sample estimated 379 persons by sample volume determination table that were chosen by random bunch sampling. A 42 - item researcher made questionnaire was used for data gathering. Questions' persistence was estimated 89% by Kronbach Alpha computation method. The results were analyzed through descriptive statistics methods such as frequency tables, average percentage, T tests and variance analysis. The results showed that guiding teachers' (Educational Supervisors) performance is weak from principals' and teachers' aspect.
