Relationship of leadership style and organizational health in secondary schools

Abstract

The main purpose of this study, was to identify the relation between leadership style of principals and organizational health of public boys’ high schools in Robat karim.date were collected using the Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire(LBDQ) to identify leadership style of principals, As for organizational health of schools, Organizational Health Inventory for Secondary schools(OHI-S) (Hoy et al.year ?).was used including  (Institutional Integrity, Initiating Structur, Consideration,Resource Support, Principal Influence with Superiors, Morale and Academic Emphasis) and three levels(Institutional,Managerial and TechnicalA stratified random sample of 216 teachers took part in the study Resulte indicate thatThere is a significant relation between the leadership style of principals and organizational health of secondary schools, (p<0.01).Also a significant relation between the leadership style of principal and school health at three levels of institutional, managerial and technical ,(p< 0.01) was found.Also the results showed no significant relation between the leadership style of principal and school’s average score in dimensions of resource support and Principal Influence with Superiors ,(p < 0.05).
