Abstract

was aimed at comparing academic achievement of children in traditional and modern families. The statistical population included 666 students. This study is a corelational research and data were collected using a questionnaire developed by the researchers. Results indicated that parenting styles could predict academic achievement. Specifically, modern parenting style was related to academic achievement of students whereas no relationship was found between other parenting styles and academic achievement.
